Why We Must End Property Tax Forever

Property tax is a relic of economic servitude, not a feature of a free society. No citizen should be forced to rent their own land from the government in perpetuity. The idea that you can lose your home—even if it's fully paid off—because of unpaid taxes is fundamentally unjust and incompatible with real ownership.

1. You Never Truly Own Your Home

Property tax means ownership is conditional. Miss a payment? The government can seize your home. That's not ownership—it's leasing at gunpoint.

2. It Penalizes Responsibility

People who work hard, pay off their mortgage, and live simply are punished with endless taxes. Meanwhile, bloated government budgets grow unchecked.

3. It Inflates Housing Costs

Landlords pass property tax burdens onto renters. Homeowners must earn tens of thousands more over a lifetime just to service these recurring fees. Ending the tax will reduce rent, increase affordability, and stabilize communities.

4. There Are Better Alternatives

Funding schools and roads doesn’t require coercion. States can use consumption-based models, user fees, and voluntary systems that respect property rights and reward fiscal transparency.

5. It’s Time to Restore Real Ownership

True liberty means the government can’t take what you rightfully own. Abolishing property tax restores that principle and forces the state to be accountable to its citizens, not the other way around.

End the coercion. End the rent on land. End property tax forever.

Paid for by citizens who believe ownership should mean something.
